Disinfectants and related agents are strictly regulated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The EPA reviews the product testing and must approve the product's label for instructions, cautions and claims. It is a violation of federal law to use a controlled product in any manner inconsistent with its labeled instructions.
Boise Clean Pro's management and team are trained to the standards set forth by the IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning & Restoration Certification) and the ISE (Institute For Service Excellence). We adhere to their scientific approach to cleaning.
With the focus on sanitizing and disinfecting that COVID-19 has brought to the forefront of the American mindset, it's important to make an effort to ensure we are using facts and a scientific approach. Below are the definitions the IICRC and ISE use when discussing disinfecting, sanitizing and agents that remove, reduce or kill viruses.
Cleaning: Cleaning is the act of locating, identifying, containing, removing and properly disposing of unwanted matter also known as soil.
Sanitizers: Reduce, but do not necessarily eliminate, microorganisms from the inanimate environment to levels considered safe as determined by public health rules or regulations.
Disinfectants: Are used on inanimate surfaces to kill or inactivate at least 99.9 percent of disease-producing microorganisms, but not necessarily their spores.
Sterilizers (sporicides): Destroy or eliminate all forms of microbial life, including fungi, viruses and all forms of bacteria and their spores.
Boise Clean Pro has ALWAYS used chemicals and methods proven to remove at least 99.7% of unwanted material. Our sanitizers and disinfectants were certified by the EPA to kill Corona viruses prior to the outbreak of the pandemic. Now, many of our chemical makers have done the work necessary to specifically add the newest Corona virus to their labels. Our cleaning cloths have NEVER been used in multiple homes. Bathroom cloths are kept separate - even laundered separately.
We are continually monitoring any updated guidelines and will change ours, as appropriate, to best protect our clients and our employees.
